The Poon Hill – Ghorepani Trek is a great beginner’s trek to the Himalayas. All along the trail, we will pass through viewpoints to admire the Annapurna Mountain range with the glacier peaks of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Dhaulagiri peeping up from behind the mountains. The highlight of the trail is at Poon Hill (3,193m), the spectacular viewpoint to the Dhaulagiri and Manaslu mountain ranges.
The Poon Hill – Ghorepani Trek will take a minimum of 4 days, of around 4-6 hours of trekking a day. Besides the glorious views of the snow-capped peaks along the Himalayan range, and the valleys of rhododendron forests, you’d also get a taste of the local Nepalese culture.
